This project is based on reaching out to kids with problems at home and therefore are somewhat more likely to offend. The campaign is meant to promote the 7 step program to teenagers. The program is based on creating a sense of purpose and guide the kids into a better future. This is competition free they have set the guise of using the key4life branding, that meaning logo and colour. The outcomes as this are meant to be recognisable branding that should create a sense of belonging. Creating a campaign in their visual language utilising a more street art type approach.
For research, most of it was observational research as the people time it is for this are children the idea of ordering anything didn’t seem right she was talking about kids liked. They are house, so it’s not the best neighbourhood kids here, and they said they usually look up the street art of graffiti to see if they recognise anyone so appealing to that might work quite well in terms of hitting that target audience. Therefore, I walked around and photograph some Street Art. The majority of that is quite smooth shapes but some hard ones, so I think I’ll be going all the way for some tapes having a high contrast of what’s around everywhere else would work really quite well.
In terms of a key for life, do they have a seven-step Program on their website that showcase many statistics and personal stories regarding the efficiency of statistics on younger people? It’s not that high, on the other hand, even if they haven’t raced with that in focus necessarily according to this research, so appealing to both the parents as they want the kids to hopefully see other people success stories and more likely to be appealing than hearing about numbers because a lot of kids struggle with maths into things that I made for them might not work that well.
The knife crime is the highest record level in 10 years in England and Wales. It’s gone Up drastically since 2013 in London recorded the highest rate of 179 offences involving a knife per 100,000 population in 2019/20. this is only a slight increase since the year before, but from 2013 it is drastic.
initial idea
as to reference their seven-step programme. Having a staircase is the obvious idea. The issue that is that it's obvious also read this, I did it wouldn't be type focus necessarily. As well as it could be a bit dry. But with this idea, the child in question would be informed of what would happen if they joined the programme and have a text explaining or appealing to them.
Utilising type in the simplest forms as having just informational. An emotional appeal to kids is what this idea is based on informing kids using stats. This is more likely to appeal to their parents. What would work with both is to appeal on an emotional side, referencing what could happen. Utilising a standard type showcasing the official. The Storey of it would make it more trustworthy.
This idea is based on having a big, bold type. Reminiscent of graffiti appealing to the target audience. This is essentially the same idea as the previous one, but utilising visual language that is familiar to a child that age. But keep in mind not keeping it too childish as that can put off many kids when they are. Challenging authority.
There are several ways of doing it. Doing it straight across and quite blunt or doing it like you doodling on a page. From what I understand. Making it less in your face and more of a doodling situation would make it more appealing to the demographic.
development
To reference the information found on the website, I found that utilising the facts would be the most beneficial for the campaign as this would ensure that it was 100% factual from what they teach. As well would come across as the brand already speaking the language, which creates a holistic image of the company. There's also no requirement to come up with your own slogan for the campaign, and therefore I've done it this way. The first thing to do was figure out what kind of typeface unwanted trade I started off with testing many different ones and look on the black background with the green colour as I tested how it would look the other way around looked horrible. To. Follow the brief specs. I decided to go all-in and what the colour range was. They usually use green as the type. And why are accents and therefore? Approaching the advertisements in the same way, would be more beneficial for the brand. I didn't really like any of the typefaces I've found. They seemed a bit stale and didn't work quite well. I try to do some weird layouts, but it didn't come out looking right at then. Started working with some textures and see if that would help it, but it didn't. Sir moved onto me. Another initial idea was making this custom typeface that would. In contrast to the graffiti around it, while still blending in, I use an isometric grid, asked to create a role within it. Also, create sharp edges. That is Rarely found in graffiti. Tested it as a horse and to the grid for the type, but it turned out that it looked a bit too much like Stranger things, not a visual language that is willing to keep going for this as that is. Not the type of brand this is. I then went for the angled layout. By making it angled, it created the sense. While applied to other elements, the structure within it still changes up the visual language from other things around. Ask the requirement was to make the Billboard an unconventional layout as well as a digital one. I decided to go with Instagram as many kids use Instagram, and many parents use Instagram. This way you could reach both the parents and the kids possibly. In terms of the unconventional media, I went with street art as it represents. The target audience the best as well. Alarm for a public audience. In a place, you might not know it. Would-be or should be. Asked to create a sense of depth when it was for the Billboard, I added a photograph from one of the conventions they had. But to make it anonymous and not have anyone be showcased, I did scribbles reminiscent of just scratching on a piece of paper, as this Added texture to the visual language. The type layout was also changed for whatever method would be used in showcasing it. This led to a lot of toggling of type for it to suit—any medium. As the visual language needs to be consistent across all platforms, people recognise it, not that the colours aren't Quite out there. But the visual language also needs to be consistent. Ask the street art will not have the photo as he can't really do that.
The outcome I have mocked it up for a website and the Instagram post for a digital outcome. As well as. The poster. Food the campaign. There are two slogans utilised from the website. This would showcase a variety of voices. This visual language could be expanded upon, and anything could be utilised in this type focused approach. It's quite simple—a simple mockup for the street art. There's an animated version of it for the website as its idea is that when you hover over with, the cursor would scratch off part of the saying and reveal the slogan on the website. For Instagram, there's also animation on the blog.
I'm not. Fully pleased with the outcome of this brief. As I feel like I could have done more. There is a. Interesting visual. The fact that I've produced and the typeface I quite like in its weird way. I've done quite a lot for this brief, but I don't think it is good to work necessarily as I didn't spend my time quite right. My visual outcome answers to brief in that it follows the rules. It is quite visually appealing. I do believe it would fit the target audience, but there's just something not quite right. Using the graffiti style would appeal more to teens. Whilst it is quite clean, it should appeal to some Grown-Ups if they are worried about a child to see a programme where they could get help. I utilised all Self-made imagery. Except for the actual photos, which plays a minute part in the design, but it still affects it. The designs are quite similar, which is part of my issue with it. I switched up between using white and green for the—second one as it would create a sense of differentiation of the writing. And I feel like it looks quite good, but there's just something missing with it. And in my credit, they said it was all good, but I am just not sure yet. It might be mine. Tendencies to not. Trust my own production methods. But I feel like this project has a bit more give left in it. It could have done more thorough research as it is somewhat lacking as it was more on my instincts and some research lead backup.
